Terms of service
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms cover our two apps: Pulsorb, the music visualizer, and Pulsorb Conductor, an app for working with AI agents. In short: Pulsorb is free to use, Pro isn’t on sale yet (but can be given with a gift code), links play through SoundCloud’s and YouTube’s own players, and the optional Spicetify integration modifies Spotify at your own choice. Pulsorb Conductor is free to use with AI providers you choose and pay for yourself, you’re responsible for what you let its agents do, and its Pro has a 14-day free trial but isn’t on sale yet. Both apps come without a warranty and our liability is limited (sections 12 and 13). Conductor’s agents can delete files, run commands and spend your AI provider credit, so check what they do and keep backups.
1. Using Pulsorb
You may install and use Pulsorb on your own computers for personal use. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies, or try to get around the Pro lock.
2. Pulsorb Pro
Some features are marked Pro. Pro isn’t on sale yet, so nothing in Pulsorb can be bought and you’re never charged. Before Pro goes on sale, these terms will be updated with its price, billing and refunds.
Pro can also be given with a gift code. A gift code is for the person it was given to: it works on one PC at a time and can be moved to a new PC (at most once a month); it may not be sold or shared publicly. A gift may last a set time, and we may cancel a gift code that’s misused; Pro then ends on that PC.
3. The Spicetify integration
Pulsorb can optionally install Spicetify, a free open-source tool made by others, and a small Pulsorb extension into the Spotify app. Spicetify modifies the Spotify app, which Spotify’s terms of use don’t allow, and Spotify updates can stop it working until Spicetify is updated. You choose whether to turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time in Pulsorb’s settings. Pulsorb isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify or Spicetify, and we can’t guarantee that it will keep working with future versions of Spotify.
4. Links (SoundCloud and YouTube)
Pulsorb can play SoundCloud and YouTube links with those services’ own embedded players. What you play comes from them, under their terms of service, and they decide what can be played: some songs and videos can’t be played outside their own apps and websites. Pulsorb isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by SoundCloud, YouTube or Google.
5. Using Pulsorb Conductor
You may install and use Pulsorb Conductor on computers you own or control, for personal use or for your work. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies, or try to get around its Pro trial or licence checks.
6. Conductor’s agents and your AI providers
Conductor lets AI agents read and change files, run commands and use the web on your PC and, with Pro, drive your browser, control your computer and act on schedules and triggers while you’re away. You decide how much they may do without asking, with the permission modes (from Plan and Ask to Auto and YOLO) and the actions you approve, and you’re responsible for what they do with your permission. Agent CLIs other than Claude Code, such as Codex and Gemini CLI, apply these modes in their own way and may change files or run commands without asking you. AI models make mistakes: check what agents do, keep backups, and don’t give them access to anything you can’t afford to lose. Checkpoints can undo file edits made with Conductor’s own tools and Claude Code, but not everything an agent does, such as what its commands change, edits by other agent CLIs, or what it sends.
Conductor works with AI providers you choose, using your own accounts and keys, or with models on your own PC. Your use of each provider is under its terms and policies, including its age requirements and what you may use its models and their output for, and you pay it directly for what you use: Pulsorb doesn’t charge for it or add anything on top, and any cost Conductor shows is only an estimate. Agents, sub-agents and the always-on Orb can use a lot of a provider’s credit, so set spending limits with your providers where they offer them. The same goes for other services you connect, such as search services, MCP servers, Telegram, Slack and Discord. Pulsorb isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the AI providers and services Conductor works with.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use either app, or let an agent use it, to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- get into computers, networks, accounts or data you aren’t allowed to use, or test the security of systems without their owner’s permission;
- write, spread or run malware, or attack or overload a service, for example with a denial-of-service attack;
- send spam, or harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive people, including through the Orb’s channels such as Telegram, Slack, Discord and webhooks;
- scrape or automate websites and services against their terms, or get around CAPTCHAs, bot detection, paywalls or other access controls;
- get around an AI provider’s usage policies, safety measures or rate limits, or keep using a service that has suspended your account;
- infringe other people’s intellectual property or privacy, or collect their personal information without a lawful reason;
- make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people, such as about jobs, credit, housing or healthcare, from an agent’s output without a person reviewing them.
We may cancel a gift code, licence key or trial that’s used in breach of this section.
8. Conductor Pro
Some Conductor features are marked Pro. The first time you use Conductor on your PC, you get a 14-day Pro trial, with no card or sign-up; reinstalling doesn’t start a new one. When it ends, Conductor carries on with its free features and nothing is deleted. Pro isn’t on sale yet, so nothing in Conductor can be bought and you’re never charged. Before Pro goes on sale, these terms will be updated with its price, billing and refunds.
A Conductor licence key is for the person it was issued to: it may not be sold or shared. A key may last a set time. Conductor’s Pro is separate from Pro for the Pulsorb visualizer: a Pulsorb gift code doesn’t unlock it, and a Conductor licence key doesn’t unlock Pulsorb Pro.
9. Age
Our apps aren’t meant for children under 13. To buy Pro for either app, once it’s on sale, you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that’s higher. To use Conductor with an AI provider or another service, you must meet that service’s own age requirements, which are often 18.
10. Licence and ownership
Our apps are licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights in them, and in the Pulsorb name and logo, that these terms don’t give you. Open-source components in the apps come under their own licences, and nothing in these terms limits what those licences let you do. What you make with our apps, such as clips, code and files, and what agents produce for you, isn’t ours: we claim no rights in it, but it’s up to you to check that you may use it.
11. Trademarks
Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Google, Claude, Anthropic, OpenAI, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Ollama, LM Studio, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Windows and other names of products and services are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to say which services our apps work with; it doesn’t mean their owners endorse or are connected with Pulsorb.
12. No warranty
Pulsorb and Pulsorb Conductor are provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep them reliable, but to the extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that they are of satisfactory quality or merchantable, fit for a particular purpose, or don’t infringe anyone’s rights. We don’t promise that they will be free of bugs, work on every PC or keep working with other companies’ apps and services, or that the AI models Conductor works with, or what agents do, will be accurate, safe or right.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for:
- loss or corruption of data or files, including files an agent deletes or changes;
- what agents and the Orb do, including commands they run, messages they send, and purchases, posts and other actions they take in your browser or apps, whether you approved them one by one or let them run in Auto or YOLO mode;
- charges from AI providers and other services you connect, including usage run up by agents, sub-agents, schedules or triggers while you’re away;
- lost profits, revenue, business or opportunities; or
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims about our apps is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can’t be limited or excluded by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing in them takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable losses from claims by others caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of the apps, including what agents do with your permission.
14. Changes to our apps
We may add, change or remove features in either app. Pulsorb updates itself to the newest version, and so does Pulsorb Conductor.
15. Ending
You can stop using either app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your right to use an app, or cancel a gift code, licence key or trial, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections 10 to 13 and 17 still apply after that.
16. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. If a change matters for something you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using an app after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
17. Export and sanctions
You may not download or use our apps where export control or sanctions laws don’t allow it, including if you’re on a government list of restricted people or organisations, or help anyone else do so.
18. Third-party software
Pulsorb includes open-source components under their own licences, listed in the app’s third-party notices. Pulsorb Conductor is built on Electron and also includes open-source components under their own licences, listed in Settings → About → Open-source notices. Programs Conductor works with, such as agent CLIs, MCP servers and your web browser, are made by others and come under their own terms.
19. The rest
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about our apps. If a court decides that part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies, and that part applies as far as it can. If we don’t enforce part of them straight away, we can still enforce it later.
20. Contact
Questions about these terms, for either app: support@pulsorb.app.
