How it listens
Pulsorb follows the main beat of the song, so the bass you feel is the thump you see, and quiet passages stay calm.

Questions
No. Any audio mode reacts to anything playing on your PC and shows what’s playing from Windows’ media controls. Spotify mode adds the full player for Spotify, from the website or the Microsoft Store.
Spicetify is a free, open-source tool for customising the Spotify app. It’s optional: without it, Pulsorb tracks the beat from the sound itself. With it, Pulsorb reads Spotify’s own beat data for perfect timing and lets you play your playlists from the visualizer. Spicetify modifies the Spotify app, which Spotify’s terms don’t allow, so you choose whether to use it, and you can turn it off at any time.
It keeps living: the orb slowly breathes and drifts while the music is paused, and comes back to the beat as soon as a song starts.
Pulsorb draws with your graphics card and pauses drawing when its window is hidden. On a typical gaming or office PC it runs smoothly at your monitor’s refresh rate.
